He is RISEN Indeed!

Ephesians 6:12-13 reminds us "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God…”

Jesus is ALIVE, the tomb is EMPTY, the curse of sin is GONE!  We are loved, accepted, forgiven, valued, pursued, given purpose, part of a family, and called.  We are saved completely in Jesus Christ not by what we do but by what He’s already DONE.  The truth of the Gospel is life-changing and eternity shaping.  And Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior accomplished it all by the power of God.  We are saved, reborn in Him!

I’m just writing to fire you up and encourage you this week!  We will face spiritual warfare every day and especially this week, but keep battling in prayer in the Lord.  I’m praying for each, praying for those who don’t yet know Christ, praying for our worship services, praying for spiritual harvest.  I’m praying for many to come to saving faith in Jesus this weekend. Pray for hearts to be softened, ears to be opened, and Satan to be rendered powerless. Join me in this!

1 Corinthians 15:54-57 “Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."

Our hope is firmly rooted in Jesus!  He is RISEN, He is RISEN INDEED!

Not Even a Hint... Response to "50-Shades of Grey"

It's that time of year again. "Love" is in the air and the box office is set to cash in. This weekend is the release of the movie "50-Shades of Grey" based off of the novel by the same title, but it's not Biblical Christ-centered love they are peddling and we need to be extremely careful how we respond. With that in mind, I wanted to share a few of my thoughts through a couple of these great resources. I couldn't say it better myself and didn't think I should try to reinvent the wheel so here you go. I encourage you to check out each of the resources below.

Blessed with a Great Team

So blessed to be part of an amazing team at Evident Church! These leaders give selflessly of their time, energy, resources, and passion for the Kingdom and glory of God. They love Jesus, love His church, and love each other very much. They are great friends, great ministry leaders, and great people. I feel extremely rich and blessed to be part of such an amazing team. With leaders like these I know Evident's future is bright.
